c's 54th week

So since I stopped taking the daily photos, I have stopped carrying my camera everywhere with me and I've been so bummed as I've missed a few great photo opportunities.  So even though I'm removing the pressure of posting daily, I've been reminded to continue to keep my camera around to capture those daily moments that will be fun to share with C one day when he is older.  You live and you learn, right?

January 7 - 13

Playing ball on the grass!

Clapping for himself!

Exploring wheels!

Calm.

Look at that face....LOVE!

...All About C...
C loves shoes.  He loves everyone's shoes.  The kid probably has more pairs than I do now, although to be fair, some of them are too small for him and others are for when he is older.  Still! C will now get a pair of shoes and bring it over to one of us in order to get us to put them on him.  Once they are on, he is off!  This week he got his shoes on and was out the gate before I had time to get my shoes on and catch up with him! Time to keep the doors closed I guess.

C is really independent these days.  He wants to do everything by himself, until he doesn't want to anymore.  HA! We see his independence a lot during meal times.  C has a mind of his own and definitely isn't afraid to show his opinion.  If he wants something, he will point and babble LOUDLY.  He is happy to try everything at least once, but if he doesn't like it, he spits it right out.  After that he is way weary and will check the fork/spoon to see whether or not we are trying to pull a fast one on him.  C also really wants to eat whatever we are eating and is definitely done with any kind of modified meals cooked just for him.  This has made life easier for all of us.  He also loves feeding himself.  He enjoys using his fingers, but wants to use silverware like the rest of us.  Let's just say that more gets on him than in his mouth when a spoon is involved!

C is pretty stubborn.  Maybe a lot stubborn.  He will continue to do certain things well after he's been told no and given a soft tap on his hands.  Ugh.  I'm hoping that this stubborn streak will leave him and that it won't give us too much trouble as he gets older.  I know that I'm going to have to really work hard at being patient and consistent with him.  What a stinker!

  1. Yes, having your camera with you really helps especially since you have such an active little one!
It's been years since my last 365 project, but I tend to carry my big camera with me at all times. And the iPhone is also a great option. I wish you a great week ahead!
