eagle's nest

We went on our first hike to Eagle's Nest with some friends last week over in Kowloon.  It was a great hike to start on as it wasn't very difficult and didn't leave us completely spent by the time we were done.  It was wonderful to be outside and to get out of our apartment for a little while.  We were able to breathe in some "fresh," cool, crisp air, which was a refreshing change.  I really liked seeing all the trees and bushes and hearing the birds chirping in their natural habitat.  It was super fun and I'm looking forward to going on more hikes.

Eagles' Nest

There were quite a few monkeys on the trail.

Gotta love steps!

A burial site and the view across from it.

It was a hazy day, but you can still see the buildings and the ocean.

  1. Looks like a beautiful hike. :) How long was the hike? So far, we've done hikes only on Hong Kong island.

Thanks for joining us over at Communal Global.

    1. The hike wasn't long at all. We had a one year old who enjoys walking, so it took us close to 2 hours. I think most adults can make it in an hour or so. :) You could definitely take your kids as it wasn't a difficult trail. :) I might have to pick your brain for some easy Island hikes sometime.

      Thanks for stopping by!

    1. It was! :) Sometimes I forget that there is another side of Hong Kong that is just not full of people and buildings. This was a refreshing outing for sure. :)

      Thanks for stopping by!
