c's 68th week

4 COMMENTS THAT ENCOURAGE ME
We are loving being off work for another week! It has been so nice to relax at home and hang out with C.  It's terrible, but we haven't done anything super exciting with our time off as we've also stayed super busy trying to get our house finished, which seems to be like a never ending project.  Once this house gets done, our life is going to change so drastically as we'll suddenly have time for other things.  I cannot wait!

The highlight of the week was attending a fun Easter event a friend hosted.  We were so happy to be included as it was a fun morning filled with Easter crafts, an Easter egg hunt, and an ice-cream sundae buffet! This year C totally got into the spirit of finding the easter eggs and enjoyed filling his basket up with the eggs.  He didn't need a lot of help and stayed super focused the entire time.  C also had some ice-cream, which seems to be the only dessert he likes.

April 15 - April 21

C started off happy and ended up crying! Not a fan of the man on stilts...

Sawasdee krap!

C's furrowed brows always make me chuckle!

A boy on a mission! Gotta find those eggs!

Eggs!

Waiing again.....

Happy Easter 2014!

...All About C...
C has been sleeping in these days, probably because we haven't had to get up early to go to work.  It has been really nice and we are enjoying waking up after 7am (so sad that this is now considered sleeping in for me).  Sleep is still an ongoing battle as C has a bunch of terrible sleep habits.  You'd think we'd get right on it and fix it sooner rather than later, but it really doesn't seem to make sense to deal with any of it until we move into our house and have more space.  So for the time being, C is still nursing to sleep, sleeping in our bed, and waking up throughout the night to nurse.  Good thing he is so cute is all I gotta say! :) Fingers crossed that when the time comes to fix all of these bad habits, C will be more mature and will understand the changes that need to be made and will transition easily.  A girl can dream....

c's 13th week

5 COMMENTS THAT ENCOURAGE ME
This was another week of firsts for C.  The week started out with C's first Easter party at our playgroup and ended with C turning 3 months old! We had a good week with a couple of Easter celebrations and a couple of trips around town.  We also spent some nice down time inside in order to get out of the nasty haze that has settled around the city.

C continues to change everyday.  These days, he is becoming way more aware of his surroundings.  He has gotten better at tracking people and sounds (although there are still times I worry about his ability to hear...crazy, I know).  C also is loving our TV (don't know where he gets that from!) as he will turn his head towards it whenever it is on.  He continues to play with his Mr. Giraffe toy and I've even thrown in a couple of fun cloth blocks for C to hit around, which he seems to like.

Things are getting hot these days as the hot season is definitely upon us.  C has spent more time in just his diaper now that it is so hot and I think he rather enjoys it! Thankfully he hasn't had a heat rash of any sort, as we do try to monitor him and make sure he doesn't over heat.  With the heat hitting us full force, we are hoping to get C into the pool sometime in April, so definitely be on the lookout for some cute baby swimwear!

Day 91 (4/1)

He's getting so tall!

...Things to Remember...
- C celebrated Easter this year by participating in two Easter egg hunts.  He also went to church for the first time on Easter Sunday.
- C now plays with a couple of cloth blocks that have bells in them in his pack and play.  I love that he is able to enjoy some of his toys a bit more now.  Can't wait to play with more of them with him.
- We are trying to do tummy time daily with C and he is NOT a fan.  He still hasn't gotten the hang of using his arms to prop himself up in order to lift his head up.  We'll just keep practicing until he gets it!
- I've been really tired this week, so I tried to not plan too many things in order to give my body a break.  It kind of worked...

easter 2013

We celebrated Easter three times this year! The first time was at our playgroup.  The weekly host decided to go all out and plan an awesome morning filled with lots of fun activities.  There was yummy food, dying eggs, making cards, and egg hunt, and fun goody bags to take home.  C sadly slept through most of the day, so I became the group photographer.  When he finally woke up, he was in a great mood and was up to hear an Easter story read aloud.  It was a fabulous day!

Happy Easter!

Lovely gift bags with all sorts of goodies including some adorable sun glasses.
Click here to see a picture of C in his glasses!

The idea was to put the egg in the whisk and then put the whisk into the dye...

...but who needs a whisk when you've got perfectly good fingers?!?

Some of the colored eggs the kiddos made.

C finally waking up and not caring about the eggs at all!

Totally chill in his sunglasses while mom is too excited about them!

Group shot!

Our second Easter celebration was another fun day with some new friends.  The hostess planned different crafts for the kids, an egg hunt, and a fun ice-cream station.  C had a great time and was actually awake for most of the day.  He even participated in the egg hunt! :)

C's super into it...can't you tell?? :)

Fun plastic eggs we collected with C...

Our last Easter celebration was taking C to church for the first time on Easter Sunday.  It was nice to get to church and to introduce C to some of the church family.  Happy Easter!
