c's 8th week

We have enjoyed this last week in Canada and will certainly miss it when we leave.  Saying good-bye stinks, but this one has been particularly hard.  So we have filled our days in order to avoid thinking of that moment when we can no longer avoid the good-bye.

This week has been busy with lots of last minute things to do and people to see.  Isn't it funny how things don't ever get done till the last minute when visiting home?? There suddenly just isn't enough time for everything.  Ugh! Anyways, we've spent this last week hanging with all three of Matt's parents, visited with lots of extended family members, bought a stroller (WOHOO!), ran some errands around town, and even headed to the city (Halifax).  It has been just wonderful!

C has gotten super vocal this week, which is honestly just a nicer way of saying he is way fussier and louder now.  It hasn't been terrible, but it sure is a change from his sleepy, quiet stage.  If we were back at home, I don't think we'd have a problem with his noise level.  However, since we have been in other people's spaces, we are super aware of the sounds he makes.  Every noise just seems to be amplified as we don't want to be THOSE parents with the loud, obnoxious baby.  Thankfully everyone has been generous and constantly are telling us what a great baby C is, so we'll take it! :)

Day 50 (2/19)
Enjoying a photo-shoot outdoors! Any one looking for a baby model?!?

Day 51
C is so expressive and makes lots of different faces!

Day 52
Proud papa, happy grandpa, and confused baby! :)

Day 53
C was cocooned up in this car-seat and probably was the warmest he's been during this whole visit!

Day 54 (2/23)
Visiting with cousins who took the time to drive out and see us!  The two people
missing in this photo are Matt and Kevin.  Time to get a tripod I think...

Day 55
He's not always happy...

C sitting on the snow & enjoying the sunset with his mama!

Day 56
Happy family!

Enjoying the snow at sunset!

...Things to Remember...
- C's begun to start talking a whole lot more these days.  He coos and makes adorable conversational noises.  It is so fun to hear it.  What's also cute is if he is left alone, he'll also talk to himself.
- C also is smiling way more and is smiling with us and at us....so smiling with a purpose.  I love it!
- C has begun to blow bubbles recently, which is pretty darn cute.
- C still loves nursing and is an eating machine! Honestly, it is crazy how often this little guy wants to eat.  Although I think he is like me in that sometimes he just likes a snack or a top-up! HA!

    1. Thanks Jade! Goodbyes really do stink...and unfortunately there is just no way around it. I'm so thankful to have gotten to get to Canada though, so it was worth it.
