big buddha

We went to the Big Buddha a while ago and I only just realized that I never shared the pictures from our visit here.  This is one of the main tourist sites to visit while in Hong Kong, so enjoy from afar!

Pictures from our walk to the Big Buddha.  It was a really foggy day.
Lots of stairs!

How many different ways can I capture the Big Buddha?

My favorite!

Different perspective.

The scenery behind the Big Buddha.

Other statues all around the base of the Big Buddha.

Huge incense at a temple nearby.

Intricate carvings.

  3. Gorgeous! I love how the big Buddha's always seem to have the most gorgeous views! (And the climbs are always a major work out.) I saw the Lingshen Buddha, and this reminded me of it in many ways.

  6. Love your photos of the Big Buddha! When we went, we didn't bring our Nikon, so all I had was my phone camera and almost every single photo came out WAY too dark. (It was a rainy day...) However, I was super excited when I went because the rainy weather encouraged me to get a hat and I found a super cute beanie that I wore pretty much every day for the rest of the trip. I keep wishing Chiang Mai would get cold enough so I can wear it here! lol

    1. Thanks Jade! :) You should come back to HK now as it is COLD and you would definitely get use out of your beanie....that or go to the movies at Airport Plaza as it tends to get cold in there! HA!
